WEEE: Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
Directive 2002/96/EC: Mandatory EU requirement effective June 2006 to meet specific targets on recycling products. Each product will have this symbol added to the existing serial tag.
This symbol indicates that all Athena products within the EU must not be placed in a “landfill” and a minimum amount of the components and material must be recycled at the end of the product’s life. Until it is resolved, WE RECOMMEND ALL ATHENA PRODUCTS BE RETURNED TO ATHENA AT THE END OF THEIR LIFECYCLE TO ENSURE THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF MATERIAL POSSIBLE CAN BE RECYCLED.
